Ways to Decrease Your Appetite

Ignoring your stomaches demand for another potato chip or slice of pizza takes some serious willpower. Unfortunately, it’s not a switch you can just turn off and on, controlling your appetite takes a lot of commitment.

So is it possible to pass up on that third bite and still keep your stomach satisfied? Of course, but like anything that’s really difficult, it’s going to take a lot of patience and hard work. Don’t worry though, you’ll thank yourself later.

Going for walks is an easy way to get yourself distracted from all those cravings. More often than not you’ll forget you were even hungry.

Drinking plenty of water may seem not too effective, but it’s, in fact, one of the most important ones on the list. It’s not uncommon for people to confuse junk-food cravings with dehydration.

Never skip breakfast to ensure your craving will be satisfied before the day even begins. Eating a wholesome protein-rich breakfast is a sure way to kick those later cravings.

Practice smaller portions to get your stomach used to a meal size smaller than what you’re accustomed to. This will train your appetite to be more submissive around larger meals.

Avoid snacking, it’s probably one of the main reasons your appetite could be so out of control. As you go about your day picking at little things, they not only add up but make you even hungrier.

Keep a routine that sticks to a general breakfast, lunch, and dinner plan. This will help keep your appetite in check from straying too far from your followed meal courses.

Wroking out is an obvious tip, but it really does help. Exercising not only helps you get in better shape, it distracts you as well when craving starts to settle back in.
